Freedom Shores RV Park promised Wi-Fi just like last year and just like last year I couldn’t find any internet service anywhere in town. The next day we did a beach walk and on Tuesday Peggy and I took a bike ride around the town. Our friends invited us to happy hour at their RV’s next to us. Lot’s of fun discussing the roads and police in Mexico.
Finally found a small internet place that caters to the local school children, it opens from 5pm – 9pm. Wed morning we leave for a Club Nautica campground outside of Campeche.

We also did Catemaco-Isla Aguada in 2 days, but we avoided Villahemosa, and instead visited Comalcaco (the brick ruins), then drove at dusk along the fabulous Tabasco Coast till we found a Pemex with a view to die for and overnighted there. That was in Feb. 2008, and Isla Aguada (which we LOVED) has great wifi service in one spot, a common outdoor area.
We staid at Freedom Shores in February this year ...
Bad wiring at the RV park fried our appliances in February this year; Telma, the owner, hired an electrician who confirmed the RV parks liability; Telma agreed to pay for our damages once we got back to the U.S. ... and today, almost 6 months later, we get a phone call from her son William that they will pay nothing because it was our fault.
Interesting business ethics down in Mexico!
